Another way the smaller companies are being targeted

If it wasn't tough enough running your own business dealing with employees, taxes, customers, operations, and any other responsibility it wants to throw your way, we now have hackers to worry about.
Since smaller companies typically have a small budget for IT, hackers are targeting them more for cyberattacks. They see it as like locking the doors but leaving the key in it. Especially since phishing attacks have become more popular where you basically do half of the work for them.
If you are able to budget some sort of IT with cybersecurity services, that is your best bet. If that isn't in the budget, get some training so you know what you are looking for. A large portion of attacks start with someone accidentally clicking on a malicious link. You can avoid a lot of pain if you are able to avoid the situation all together.
